Hospital are a special group of people. We
are dedicated individuals whose primary goal
is to ensure your pet's happy and healthy
life. We are highly trained in all areas of
pet care.

Tracey
L. Gilbert, D.V.M.
Dr.
Gilbert is a graduate of the Iowa State
University College of Veterinary Medicine. She
came to Green Bay in 1989, and became a partner
in 1995. Dr. Gilbert is especially interested in
internal medicine, orthopedics, and behavior.
She serves on the NEW Zoo Advisory Board and is
a past board member of the Bay Area Humane Society. In her
off-duty hours, Dr. Gilbert competes in agility,
obedience and tracking tests with her Belgian Tervuren dogs, Keeper, Robyn, and Tango.
She lives near Green Bay with her dogs and 2
domestic short hair cats, Cedar and Earl Grey. |

Nicole Gardner,
D.V.M
Dr Gardner is a graduate of Michigan State
University College of Veterinary Medicine. She's
very interested in feline medicine and is a
member of the American Association of Feline
Practitioners. Dr. Gardner is one of the
founding board members of Cats Anonymous, Inc.,
an organization dedicated to providing solutions
to the problems of feral cats. She enjoys
gardening, movies, and reading in her free time.
She shares her home with various cats- Edgy,
Scruffy, and Garthie (the cozy ones), Mabel (the
crank), and Zara (the wild one), and her
dogs, Rupert (Italian Greyhound), and Ladybug
(Sheltie mix). Dr Gardner and the dogs
frequently travel to Escanaba, Michigan to visit
with Dr. Gardner's mother and her dog, Lorna Doone.

Daniel J. Gray
Dr. Gray graduated from Iowa State University in 2004 and spent
his first two years practicing in
Dubuque, Iowa. He has a strong
interest in many facets of dog and
cat care including internal medicine
and surgery. He also has a
significant interest in birds,
reptiles, exotic mammals, zoo
animals and wildlife medicine and
surgery. Dr. Gray is also a member
of a team of veterinarians directed
by the U.S. Department of Public
Health that responds to federal and
state disaster emergencies. When he
is not caring for the needs of
animals he enjoys karate, fishing,
hunting, camping and hockey. Martha,
his wife of 5 years is also a part
of the Brown County Veterinary
Hospital team. Together they enjoy
many furred feathered and finned
friends in their home : a
Chesapeake/Lab (Mousse), 4 domestic
short hair cats (Nikki, Kitana,
Marmot, and Frodo), a cockatiel (Stewie),
a blue tongued skink (Skinky), and
many different tropical fish.
Dan and Martha joyfully welcomed
their first child in October 2007. |

Ray Hawley, Practice Manager
Ray has been with our hospitals
since 1985. He grew up in the Green
Bay area, and has earned his
Bachelor of Science degree from the
University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
Ray is married and has two
daughters. A yellow Labrador dog
(Katie), an Australian cattle dog
mix (Mercedes), a domestic shorthair
cat (Gray C), a calico (Tazz) and a
black cat (B.T.-named Blood Thirsty
by all the mice and chipmunks in
Ray's garden that fear him) round
out his family. His hobbies include
racquetball, mountain biking,
tennis, football, woodcarving,
gardening, and fishing. In addition,
he is known as a master vintner and
brewmeister by his family and
friends. He produces a variety of
unique wines and beers. He's also
been known to make a tasty cake for
his co-workers from time to time. |

Lori Johansen, C.V.T.
Lori is our head technician who
came back to Green Bay after
spending two years in Colorado
attending Bel-Rea Institute of
Animal Technology. Previously, she
received a degree in Biology and
Environmental Science and worked as
an Animal Keeper at the Wildlife
Sanctuary. Her pets include an
Alaskan malamute (Koya), Lovebird
(Alex), and a parakeet (Louie). Her
spare time is spent camping, hiking,
gardening and reading. |

Jennifer Virlee, C.V.T.
Jennifer graduated from Madison Area Technical College in May of
1997. She has been a technician at
BCVH & CCC since June 1998. Jennifer
and her husband, Jesse, live in
Howard with 2 cats (Cajun Catfish,
and Buffer ball), 3 dogs (Mason,
Brandy, and Dingo), 1 cockatoo
(Waldo), and 2 horses (Dakota and
Cinder). Jennifer is the owner of
ALL PETS in home pet care, a pet
sitting business that allows animals
to stay in their homes while their
owners are away.
She
also enjoys spending time with her
young daughter. |

Cindy Radka, C.V.T.
Cindy graduated from Madison Area
Technical College in 1990 and worked
at Brown County Veterinary Hospital
from 1990-1996. She took some time
off to start a family with her
husband, Mike. Cindy came back to
work in December of 2005. She and
Mike have 4 children. They also
share their home with a pug (Al), a
cheery Brittany Spaniel (Baylee), a
cat (Mercedes), and the bird (Waldo). Her hobbies include
reading and playing chauffeur for
her kids’ many activities. |

Jackie Vanden Heuvel, C.V.T.
Jackie graduated from UW-Green Bay
in 2003 with a Major in Human
Biology and studies in
Pre-Veterinary Medicine. She has
worked at BCVH and CCC since 2000
and received her Technician
Certification in 2005.
Originally from Western Wisconsin,
Jackie and her husband Nate are now
settled south of Green Bay. with
their English Springer Spaniel
(Rascal) , and two domestic
shorthair cats (Magnolia and Rev).
Jackie and Nate are recent proud
parents as of July 2008.

Crystal DeBroux - C.V.T.
Crystal joined our staff in January
2005. She is a 2005 graduate of
Horizon School of Veterinary
Assisting in Appleton, and received
her veterinary technician
certification in 2007. Crystal grew
up in New Franken on her family's
dairy farm where she developed her
love for animals. She now resides in
New Franken with her husband, Ryan,
and their Shih Tzu/Bichon mix (Mavrick).
Crystal also has a horse (Mac) who
stays at her parents' farm. In her
free time, Crystal enjoys boating,
swimming, snowmobiling and horseback
riding. Crystal and Ryan are proud
to announce that they are now proud
parents as of December 2007. |

Heather Rudie
Heather graduated from the Horizon
School of Veterinary Assisting in
Spring 2007 and joined our team in
Summer 2007. Heather grew up in
Gillett, WI, where she was and still
is active in 4-H, in which she is
now an Adult Dog and Goat Project
Leader. Her pets include a border
collie (Hugs), a Cocker
Spaniel/Sheltie mix (Holly) a
Husky/German Shepherd mix (Sammy
Jo), and her friends on her
grandma's dairy goat farm. Heather
spends her free time in the great
outdoors ATV-ing and snowmobiling,
and enjoys spending time with her
friends and family. |

Judy Cumbers
Judy came to us in the
spring of 2001 from
Plastic Protective
Coatings, where she
worked in customer
service for 30 years.
She and her husband,
Jack, were married in
1966, they have two
grown children, Chris
and Tracy, and three
grandchildren. Jack and
Judy enjoy spending time
at home with their two
dogs, a Springer-beagle
mix (Chelsea), and a
beagle (Snoopy). Her
hobbies include walking,
working out at Curves,
reading, spending time
with her grandchildren,
and relaxing at their
cabin in the woods.

Martha Gray
Martha Gray joined our team in June
2006. As you can probably guess, she
is Dr. Dan Gray’s wife. They met at
Iowa State University, and the
rest is history. Although she has
strayed from her chosen field, she
thoroughly enjoys her work in the
veterinary field, and comes to us
with a wealth of experience. When
not at work she loves to cook, read,
camp, fish with her husband, and
walk her best buddy, Mousse (a
Chesapeake Bay Retriever Mix). You
may recognize Mousse, she spends her
days behind the counter at Brown
County too! She also finds time to
spend with their cockatiel and four
cats. Dan and Martha welcomed their
first child in October, 2007. |

Chris Klimek
Chris became a team
member in May 2006.
Her smiling face is
a welcome addition
to our customer
service staff.
Although she has no
pets of her own, she
has become an
"adopted" mom to
many of the pets we
see here. In her
spare time she
enjoys browsing the
Saturday Farmer's
Market and visiting
with family.

Tiffany Hoffman
Tiffany came to the Green Bay area
in 2003 from Cedarburg, Wisconsin.
She has worked in veterinary
medicine since 1995 and enjoys
educating clients and has a passion
for exotics and their care. When she
and her husband, Wayne, are not
chasing after their three energetic
dogs, a Min-Pin Pomeranian mix (Dobie),
a lab mix (Maggie), and a Golden
Retriever (Drifter) or their cat (Atreyu).
They also have a turtle (Herbie),
and several Koi pond fish. Tiff's
hobbies include tennis, kayaking,
candle making, and watching movies.
Tiffany also loves spending time
with her little girl. |

Karen Hubbard
Karen came to the Green Bay area in 2007
from Stephenson, Michigan, where she worked
for the Michigan State University Extension
and was the Menominee County Fair manager
for many years. She is also very active in
4-H. In her spare time Karen enjoys
walking, working out, reading, and spending
time with family.

Molly
LeCaptain
Molly LeCaptain is a student
at UW-Green Bay majoring in
musical theatre. She
has two dogs, a German
Shepherd (Haley) and a
Finnish Spitz (Foxy).
She also has 2 cats (Elmo
and Oreo) and Quaker Parrot
(Howie). She enjoys
singing and performing, as
well as spending time with
her family, friends, and
pets. |

Palubicki
Jordan Palubicki joined our
team in November of 2005.
Jordan Palubicki joined our
team in November of 2005.
She is currently attending
River Falls to pursue a
degree in Animal Science,
but she continues to visit
us on her breaks from school
and will be back this
summer. She enjoys horseback
riding and volunteering at
the Humane Society in her
spare time. |
